Bells Beach Easter Classic Mural Design

Did this to coincide with the WSL Tour event at Bells Beach this year. It was printed up to a very large size and mounted outside the Torquay Hotel.

Friday Heckle Cartoons for Tracks on Instagram

Been doing these for a few months now, lots of fun. Stoked to get a mention on the WSL's Dawn Patrol show today. Not in order here.

This accompanied a fun little story by Luke Kennedy in Tracks about Orcas being found hunting down Great White Sharks off S.A.

Tracks Covers

Recently I created the cover for Tracks March Issue. I was going on holiday before the world title was going to be decided so I had to do three versions, based on each of the three surfers who had a shot at the title - Gabriel Medina, Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning. In the end Medina got it and it became the first ever illustrated cover of Tracks, and they even ran the others on the backpage too.

Two versions of the same job, Rasta and his recycled plastic boardies made way for Wilko in his signature trunks in the end.

Tracks Backpage Illustration October Issue : "Mining Claim"

Here I played with the idea of miners burrowing their way through the gaping water tunnels of the Northwest of W.A., where some of the continent's biggest mining operations are located as well as some of its best waves.

Tracks Backpage Illustration September Issue : "The Walking Dead"

Here I drew a parallel between the ascendence of the younger generation of pro surfers at this year's Fiji pro-surfing event to the battle between the uninfected and the zombies in the TV series "The Walking Dead".

R.I.P. Rik Mayall

I was saddened to hear that one of my comedy heroes, Rik Mayall, died yesterday. The Young Ones and Bottom are two of my favourite shows of all time, and my brother and I have grown up laughing our heads off watching them. He was a genius! Here's a drawing of him I did a while back.

Tracks July Backpage Illustration

Bit of a mix-up with this illustration, I've since had to re-do it with the addition of two more kings of Bells. Look for the final version in July Tracks.

Another of my take-offs of members of the ASP commentary team. This time it's Peter Mel's turn.

Tracks Champions Series

I was recently commissioned to draw a selection of past winners of the Quiksilver Pro on five fine surfboards by Tracks Magazine. I was put up for two weeks on the Gold Coast while the contest was in full swing and managed to produce likenesses of (from left) Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Stephanie Gilmore, Kelly Slater and Taj Burrow. The boards were then given away to random winners via Instagram. Great fun.
